How it Works
Spiderbox offers an Overnight Backup service to insure your business against data loss resulting from an unforeseen disaster.
In such cases, the Spiderbox Overnight Backup Service allows PC's, laptops and servers to return to the way they were at the end of the previous day.
For a server, the Overnight Backup Service works away automatically in the background, backing up changed files each night. When you need to restore the server from a backup copy, Spiderbox will arrange the transfer at a time convenient for you.
For a personal computer or laptop, the Overnight Backup Service runs silently the background. When you need to restore a file from a backup copy, simply contact Spiderbox and we'll restore the files you need.

Data Security
The most important part of any backup operation is the place where your backup drive lives. After all, the data stored there is your failsafe.
There is no point in storing your backups in the same computer, even on a separate drive in the same computer.
Backups should never be stored on the same computer as the primary data. If the computer is damaged, you lose the primary data and your backup data.
There is no point in backing up to a portable drive each day. Firstly, it is a manual process that can easily be forgotten. Busy people with more important priorities have no choice but to let some things go. Secondly, the portable drive could fail - right when you need the data on it. Drives always fail right when you don't want them to.
Backup data should be stored in what is known as RAID-5 storage. Essentially it's a bunch of hard disks joined together in a way that when one of those drives fails, your data is safe.
There is no point in backing up to a small business server (or the like) that is physically located in the same building as your computer.
Backups should always be stored in an off-site location, meaning that if a plane crashes into your building and it burns down, your data is still safe and secure.
Spiderbox stores all backup data in redundant RAID-5 storage, in a multi-million dollar, world-class, climate controlled, state-of-the-art Data Centre located within the Brisbane Technology Park.

A Single-User License is perfect for protecting a PC or a laptop. It gives you access to a personal backup space of 5 GB.
A Server License is perfect for protecting large amounts of data on a server. It gives your server access to a backup space of 50 GB.
There is a once-off setup fee of $60 for Spiderbox to configure your computers and setup licenses.

You can increase the storage space on a Single-User License, or a Server License by adding Additional Space.
Our Archive DVD Service allows you to order your entire storage volume, backed up to DVD and delivered via overnight courier to your office.
Our Rapid Recovery Service allows you to request your entire storage volume copied onto a USB2 portable drive and delivered via overnight courier to your office. The drive has a $500 hardware deposit and must be returned.
