  Fibre Optic Delivery

Fibre Optic Delivery

Is your business ready to future proof your Ethernet strategy and take control of your infrastructure?

Spiderbox provides fibre connections for technology parks and organisations that wish to operate their
own private optical network, gaining the ability to manage their own infrastructure for years to come.

Effectively this allows forward thinking businesses to revolutionise the way they operate and maintain a serious advantage as competitors try to keep pace.

Spiderbox continue to proudly invest in its infrastructure to deliver a highly robust and scalable network over fibre optic. Our core network is located on the Brisbane Technology Park in Eight Mile Plains, with new construction about to commence at the Lakes Vista development at North Lakes. This service is also available to individual businesses that are serious about their data requirements now and in the future.

With today's technology requiring more bandwidth than ever, optic fibre is one of the solutions that can give a network a much greater capacity to carry high amounts of data with minimum cost. The technology supports multiple high speed Ethernet data connections capable of speeds up to 1Gbps and beyond. The service is well suited for SAN (Storage Area Network) replication between business critical functions including disaster recovery; WAN for high usage sites and connection to either your own data centre or one of Spiderbox already established presences.

Business Benefits

BUSINESS BENEFIT HOW DOES THAT RELATE TO YOUR BUSINESS
Seriously High Bandwidth Seriously high-bandwidth speeds of up to 10GBit/s empower business to adopt converged IP service delivery (voice, data & video) as part of their communications strategy.
Reliability The stability of a physical direct connection ensures network integrity is maintained. Performance is guaranteed since Spiderbox own and operate core network with Gigabit network infrastructure.
Peace of mind comes from knowing that we offer 24/7/365 network monitoring with advanced digital switching and connectivity.
Low Latency Fibre optic provides the lowest latency option available in data connections which is ideal for video empowered applications and real-time interactivity.
Flexibility Dark fibre can be built to virtually any location that your budget can justify. With Spiderbox dark fibre, the full bandwidth potential is at your disposal and speeds are only limited by the hardware at each end, with functionality under your control.
Security Dark fibre is dedicated bandwidth with 1:1 contention ration. As the sole business utilising the individual Dark Fibre network, your business can be assured of the highest levels of security by placing your business data on a Carrier Grade SLA-backed service.

Tailoring a cost effective solution that's right for your business environment right now,
with the ultimate flexibility to remain suitable as your business grows
and the way you manage your business evolves with the marketplace.

Technical Benefits

TECHNICAL BENEFIT HOW DOES THAT RELATE TO YOUR BUSINESS
Maximum Range Optic fibre uses light pulses rather than electrical signals - therefore, it can travel at least 25 kilometers without signal degradation. Copper (DSL) uses electrical signals - therefore, it can only support high bandwidth for a few hundred meters before the signal degrades.
Flexibility Fiber can be stapled to walls or even bent around sharp corners without signal degradation. The only thing that will hurt it is a physical cut or destruction of the building it is in. If copper (DSL) gets a kink in the cabling, the signal will degrade.
Capacity The diameter of a fiber is about the size of a human hair, so more fibers can be joined together within a cable to give greater bandwidth capacity. With copper (DSL), a larger diameter means there's less room to be able to add more cable to allow for greater bandwidth capacity.
Superior Technology Fibre is immune to electromagnetic interference, radio frequency interference and lightning damage. It poses no shock hazard and does not produce sparks when cut. Fibre also has a far longer life expectancy than copper, making it an excellent investment for future-proof communications infrastructure.
