Over the past months, Spiderbox has been busy laying fibre optic cable throughout the Brisbane Technology Park. The network went live in February and runs from the Host Networks data centre in Brandl St. up to the BTP Conference Centre and surrounding buildings.

The network heralds a new era of competition on the park. It will also provide greater access to high quality data and the ability to run high bandwidth services such as large overnight off-site backups or HD Video Conferencing - which is currently on offer at the Level One building.

The network connects to two of the major data centres in the park allowing park tenants fast access to hardware hosted in their racks and direct access to the Internet.
